2. Mr. Larry Jason, Executive Director, Brooklyn Housing & Family Services will share valuable information on their organization’s work in defending the rights of minority, elderly, low-income and immigrant tenants to protect the family unit and prevent homelessness from occurring.

1. Ms. Julianne Rich, Assistant Director, Volunteer Services, Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, will provide information on the newly established volunteer program at the hospital. Ms. Rich will also provide information on upcoming special events and invite community participation in the hospital’s activities.
2. Public Hearing on the Citywide Statement of Needs for City Facilities for Fiscal Years 2009 and 2010. Focus will be on the identified need for a site for the relocation of Community District 9’s sanitation garage.
3. Public Hearing on application submitted to the Department of Housing Preservation and Development by 571 East New York/Lefferts Realty, LLC, for the 421-a Partial Tax Exemption Program for project exceeding 20 units at 522 Lefferts Avenue, Brooklyn, 11225.

2. Public Hearing on a request submitted by Hon. Letitia James for the co-naming of Bedford Avenue between Montgomery Street and Sullivan Place in honor of the late Lt. John H. Martinson, who lost his life fighting a fire at Ebbets Field Houses on January 3rd 2008.
3. Public Hearing on a request from the Hawthorne Street Tenants Civic and Community Alliance Organization, PLGNA and the Crown Heights Youth Collective for the co-naming of Hawthorne Street between Nostrand and Rogers Avenues "Jeff Herman Place" in honor of the late P.O. Jeff Herman, who lost his life in 1989 responding to a violent dispute.

2. Dr. Edison O. Jackson, President of Medgar Evers College of the City University of New York, will update the community on the status of the College’s campus expansion project.

Development of historic Clove Road which dates back to the American Revolution.
Open space on the grounds of Kingsboro Psychiatric Center
Development of Mount Prospect Park
Acquisition of Open Space for the expansion of Wingate Park
2. Ms. Lauren George, Citizens Committee for New York City (CCNYC) will speak about their “New Yorkers for Better Neighborhoods” grants and to encourage participation in Citizens Committee for New York City’s annual Neighborhood Quality of Life Survey. CCNYC is a non-profit organization with a 30-year history, works to stimulate and support self-help and civic action to improve quality of life in New York City and its neighborhoods
