PUBLIC SESSION:
1. Presentation of Awards
2. Representatives from the Department of Transportation and the New York City Transit Authority will bring the community up to date on the Nostrand Avenue Select Bus Service (SBS) Corridor, which extends along the B44 Route from Williamsburg to Sheepshead Bay – (Eastern Parkway to Clarkson Avenue, the portion within Community District 9.)
3. Representatives from the Department of Transportation will present the proposed intersection safety improvements at Empire Boulevard/Flatbush Avenue/Ocean Avenue, aimed at improving pedestrian safety and traffic flow.
4. Representatives from the Department of City Planning will discuss the Car Share Text Amendment – ULURP NO N100284ZRY – the proposed text amendment would allow car share vehicles to park in parking facilities accessory to residential, commercial and manufacturing use and in public parking lots and garages.
5. Presentation by Ms. Mav Moorhead, NYH20, Inc, on the threat to the New York Watershed and New York City’s drinking water, from companies proposing to use Hydraulic Fracturing/Horizontal Drilling (a hazardous chemical based high powered water drilling technique) to drill for gas.
